more question on my new toy. The AOD trans that is in the car, is it still a C4 or what. The last time I had a Ford car all they had were C6 and C4 auto trans. Also, where is the computer box located and who makes good chips ?

 

I'm not sure what exact model # it is, but all ive ever heard it referred to is AOD or possibly AODE.

The computer is located behind the passenger kick panel. easily way to get it out is remove the door sill, pull the kick panel out, then remove the wiring harness's and its behind them in the white bracket.

C-4s and C-6s are better. I would put a C-4 in it with a 2800 stall converter or put in a T-56 6 speed manual. The AODs stink
