1995 AODE to a 5 speed
its a day job. Not hard at all. Just time consuming. Just remember to use a tranny jack or a jack to get the tranny out from under the car. (dont slide it onto your chest and then slide it out and bench press a new one in) Just a tip, AODE is heavier then heck.
EDIT-I need glasses, lol. I thought it said 1996. Sorry

His car is a 1995. Therefore it is a 5.0 car with an AODE tranny.

is it really expensive.. time isnt a problem for me.. i just dont know how hard it is to get the parts in and found, and how much it's going to cost. i have a friend that has a tremec 5 tranny, and bell-housing and clutch forks for 700 and i thought about, what clutch would your recommend putting in? i might race it a couple of times but usually a daily driver.
Check out Summit Racing for Clutches. I would recomend the FRPP or the RAM Clutch. The tranny you were describing is a ok deal, but you still need the clutch pedal, qaudrant and so on. Your best bet is to go find a wrecked car and swap over everything.
