A guy over on the registry ran 12.98's bone stock (including tires) as well. So many LS1 guys don't realize how quick they can be (given the right driver).
You are exacly right. I'm an LS1 guy and I have tons of respect for Mustangs, especially the Mach 1. Even the 01+ GT's are extremely quick. My friend has an 01 GT w/ just a K&N and 2 Turbo Mufflers and he has came very close to taking out my Z28 when I was stock. I am glad to see Ford push the Mach 1's HP to over 300. A lot of LS1 guys underestimate the 4.6
I give Ford a lot of credit in producing one heck of a car. My Z28 is getting a lot of miles on it and when I get in a better financial situation I will be purchasing a GT.

i agree. though the 4.6 doesnt have the following the 5.0 does. it is gaining. and will only increase as the aftermarket gets more and more support. i have a 5.0lx and 04 GT and the 04 feels almost as quick as my 5.0 which isnt stock anymore
Oh my gosh, you Ford fanboys are so gullable. Tell me, if just about every non-mustang site and magazine I've read shows times from approx. 13.8 to 14.0 quarter mile times, then how is it that these professionals cannot shave a whole extra second off the times?

for what it is, the 4.6 is an excellent engine. it's just small
Eh I highly doubt that. Like i said, most of these guys are professionials Just seems like there are some biased opinions and times floating around out here, especially on specialty sites(not just Ford, if it were a Camaro site i'm sure there would be the fanboys doing the same).

I have video proof of a 01 automatic STOCK gt going 13.66. The car is belongs to a member of this board and a good friend of mine. His screen name is Ua2k1gt. Magazines could never get a 99+ automatic gt out of the 14.5 range. They either dont know how to drive or dont push the cars hard enough. I am not saying all gt's run mid-13's.. most of them are in the low 14/high 13 range with a good driver. Ua2k1gt's car is just a factory freak.
Also I have video of Tim Barth (Cobra Killer on all the forums, owner of T&J Performance http://www.modularfordpowerhouse.com) taking his wifes stock 03 mach1 to a 13.1 i believe.
I am just trying to say that dont believe what you see in magazines. 1/4mi times and also dyno numbers are always skewed in some way.

I know I wouldn't come close to that (relatively speaking, of course).
