Eh, it's not quite so simple as just dropping it in. It fits, but you'll have to relocate some stuff, get new wiring harness stuff, etc.

is it any more complex than a mark VIII swap? I mean I can get one of the flex-fuel engine, and cobra intake for the same price as a reman 2v motor. I just can't find anything online about it, and my ford dealer is no help at all

Anything is doable, Jason, if one has a dremel, hammer, and various other tools to beat, meet, patch, and match until it works.

You may have to move things around in relation to where they would go in the donor car's engine compartment. Might have to find a new place for a thing here or there. Reroute something in a manner that's a little less awesome, but will function. That sort of thing.

If my pops can put a '95 5.0 Full EFI and AOD transmission into a '64 Falcon, you can do that to your car. It just takes full understanding of what you want to accomplish, and what is going to be added/subtracted from the build to make it happen.

You'll have to do the research. A Ford dealer isn't going to help you. You are striking out into territory they don't even want to play with.

It would be beneficial to perhaps study up on the flex fuel car in question, get the shop manual for it, that sort of thing, and understand how that engine/fuel system works in the original car before even attempting it in yours But it's *definitely* doable.

I'm assuming that you wanna run the flex fuel. You probably need to just make it so you can, so that the engine will run right, and not just assume gasoline only.

Good luck, and go for it!

/I'm thinking there might be a deeper reason for them to be cheaper... as in maybe not as desired for a pretty good reason? I'd look into that a lot as well. May be that it's not as cracked up awesome as you'd think... then again, flex fuel '99 GT Vert. How many of them are about?
