hey guys,

my buddy owns a 03 cobra with some a/c problems. with the car running and the ac blowing it doesn't get cold. it blows air but its not cold. the compressor is going and the lines are ice cold. the car has maybe 400 miles on it. he bought it new from a ford dealer. he justs baby's it. im thinking it needs new freon, i think thats how you spell it. it might have leaked out over the winter and not being used. its an orfical a/c unit do you guys think it might be clogged. the other thing i was thinking was the flap inside was jammed. but we are stumped any help would be appreciated. oh it does go in the shop on saturday. thanks guys

 

Looks like you covered the possibilities. My two guesses are freon leak or bad compressor. Be sure and do a follow-up post. Being an '03 owner I'd like to know exactly what the problem was.
