02 mustang gt
just looking for some suggestions i just purchased a 02 torch red gt manual with only 8k miles only mods are flowmaster exhaust and bbk 75 mm throttle body any suggestions on moderatly priced perfomance mods also looking to purchase a cold air intake any suggestions on which one to get B)
Mods that I have seen that are very good proven gains on a 02 GT are K&N FIPK kit, Steeda Pullies and a tuned chip. Doug904 did a tune on a friend of mines 02 gt and got amazing gains straight out of the box. I highly recommend looking into it.
Here is the thread regarding the dyno tune. http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?sh...ic=4315&hl=dyno
Welcome to the Forum, you have come to the right place! Some cheaper mods for horsepower are:
1. New air intake, I have the MAC Fenderwell cold air intake
2. Underdrive Pulleys, I have the March pulleys, big difference.
3. X-pipe, that's my next purchase.
4. 4.10 or 3.73 gears, my other next purchase.
I guarantee you will get more input from others here on which products they have and like. Good luck, it's alot of fun having the modification bug.

I have this on my car. Read the reviews, pretty much how I feel about it. Its an easy mod and lets the mustang breathe better, for a pretty good price. You can also get MAC Intakes for a little cheaper. Depends on what you want.

If you wanted to do more advanced things you could upgrade the headers and the stock h-pipe.

thanks for the replys i will post a pic up later tonight one other thing im new to large motors im 17 sold my motocross bike and worked all summer to pay my part on the mustang but with the a good cai the throttle body and the flows and the 3.73 or 4.10 gears do you think id stand a chance running a stock srt4?
also i was thinking about a cam for the sound and performance is it worth it? and what is involved with the instillation adjusting timing? is it something i could do myself with some guidance or is it something i should have proffessionally installed
I know (according to which magazine or website you look at) that the 0-60 times are close but it depends on who's the better driver. I read that the 1/4 mile will go to the SRT-4 but not by much. I'm sure with a couple of tweeks you will have the faster car, you already have the better car.
Buy a Procharger Blower. Prices are high on everything these days. What is your price range? My uncles procharged F-150 (Ford!!) is wicked fast. I would get a procharger. Change your intake and Mass air. I would also get a SCT Max Tuner custom programmer for your computer.
cams are awesome on the late model 2v motors. Alot of guys with a good SCT tune and the right bolt ons are breaking 290-300rwhp with cams like the Comp's or the VT stage II's.
