The only part that is in my style would be the fuel door. B) Everything else spells rice. :notnice:
But if it is your taste. Go for it.
One has but few forms of self expression.

I won't use the GT-R badge... just because of the price! ($35.00)

ill excuse your taste because of your age. I am in the very slim minority in my area who likes real cars. if you do that to a mustang GT, ill take your mustang ownership card away myself. btw, has anyone seen the vid of a guy at a car show with a "GT-R" mustang? the guy on the vid asks if he has headers and pistons, then asks if its a rotary with turbo. very funny.

i don't get it. x the GT-r badge, thats like putting 'rice' on the license plate. i get the pedals being rice. whats so bad about the tail lights? the headlamps are genuine ford, so is the fuel door, and the grille eliminator comes standard on some stangs. the seat belt cover is Steeda and the shifter matches the blue! and is california mustang rice?

The only things I like out of those are the headlights and gas cap, but that's just my style. But those tail lights are way too rice, I think that they look horrible on the mustangs I've seen with them.

its just that most of the people on this board are the type that would rather spend the money on making the car faster rather than visual goodies like clear tailights and the like. Just trying to let you know where most of us are coming from.

I see too many cars in the DC that are destroyed visually by doing too much to the car. And yes I believe that the headlights would be ok by themselves, but not in total.
If you watch the car shows on cable, you see everyone going for the latino or rice direction on their cars. I prefer to keep it simple. It is a beautiful car without the changes.

i wasn't aiming for rice. i saw those eurotech lights on a sonic blue Saleen yesterday and they looked pretty good to me. and if i do get a late model mustang, i'll probly change it into a Bullitt... it fits my price range more and looks better... i'm keepin the pedals though, i love those

Pedals are pretty neat, I think. Used to have a set, but the gas pedal kept getting stuck to the floor when I punched it, and with my driving style... it made for a lot of unintentional 1-2 power shifts instead of speed shifts. I had a set of aluminum pedals before that, but I broke the accelerator and brake pedals from hard usage. When you get your car, do what makes you happy unless happiness comes in the form of a GT-R badge .

conv_stang is correct. The tinted headlights are the same for every car 01+. (also the 00R was the first car with them). Your car will come stock with them if it is an 03.

Let me give you some less ricey exterior upgrade suggestions...i agree that everything except the headlamps, fuel door, and grill eliminator are ricey. So here they are:
- SVT cobra tailights
- bullitt interior trim (aluminum shift ****, benzel, lock *****, pedals)
But IMO, u should definatly spend your money on investing on performance parts rather than looks. The only reason why ricers spend tons of money on upgrading their exteriors is b/c they cant afford to make the car 75hp faster without having it fall apart.
