... 40th Anniv. (2004) Black Mustang V6 Prem.

... I do have the spoiler that came with it

I am confused about the spoiler. Is yours the Anniversary Edition with gold stripes?
I think those only came in the dark red/garnet color,correct me if I'm wrong.Also 40th Ann. Edition doesn't have a spoiler[/b][/quote]
The 40th is available in black also but it should have the spoiler delete as far as I know. Congrats on the car, you will love it.

The 40th Anniversary Package could be had on Black, white, or the 40th colour (Crimson red)

All had the Beige Metallic stripes/accents

I've seen the dark garnet color but have never seen the black or white. Wonder how rare those colors are for that edition?????

The ones I've seen are like the one below and do not include a spoiler for either the coupe or vert.

Congrats buddy!

In all honesty you are probably better off in a V6 for a few years anyway. I started in a 99V6 when I was 18 and almost killed myself with it. lol. Regardless of which engine you have at your age, or for that matter anyone getting ready for college, a car like yours is an amazing thing to have.

Take it easy, enjoy the car and save up your money for that Cobra in a few years!

good luck with it, have fun, and be careful, especially in the water/ice. can be hard to get traction, even with a v-6. black is beautiful when clean, but good luck keeping it that way. :P
water? ice? guess you havent been to arizona...

ok maybe they get it in flagstaff...

Woooooo...I guess my car isn't the OFFICIAL 40th Anniv. then, becuase I don't have those stripes; and I have a spoiler. The reason why I thought it was the 40th was the side emblem has the running horse in 3-D-ish saying 40th Anniv. Now I know they started making these in 1964.5...so sorry guys', I guess I have just the plain ol' coupe then...huh?

---Do all 2004's have that emblem on the side of the car?

Many congrats, my man. You got yerself a neat ride. I still remember my first Stang--I too was 17. It was a grey 87 LX hatchback. They have sure come a long way--it was an auto w/88 hp, but I loved it. Again, very happy for you! Enjoy!

Thanx all...I do have a question though:

Will a CAI void my warrenty? I think it might, butt here is so just so much you can do to make this car a little faster...I am getting my K&N this weekend most likely and wanted to know if I could pick the CAI up as well?

More air in, more air out. The dual exhaust needs to go in first.

What? Are you talking about the CAI? I knew that...but I meant will it void the warrenty if I have it?

About the exhuast, I don't know if I asked you guys' this or not...but do I need a new bumper? I can't get a straight answer anywhere? Some say yes, some say no? So lost here

If anything, you 6ers' what kind of exhaust do you all have?

You either have to get a new bumper, GT Bumper (best way to go) or duck your dual exhaust under the existing v6 bumper. You could always go side exhaust?

Stock. If I can live with a v6 until the Cobra, I can handle not having dual exhaust
