It's for real guys', I am a proud owner of a (you all aren't goin' to believe it):

40th Anniv. (2004) Black Mustang V6 Prem.

I know, I know, not a GT However, I couldn't pass this up...

It was listed at 22G's (and I knew there was no way I am paying that...) so we haggled for a while here and there, and told him this:

16G's for car- - 1300$ down- - out the door, take it or I am gone (I never thought he would bite on it, and since I didn't really want a 6, I was like whatever, make an insane offer). Well, he bit down hard, he even through in the most expertise (sp?) package for warrenty (Premium) along with 2 years free oil and rotation!

It was just a deal I couldn't pass up. My payments are a measily 230$/month for 60mons, but I should pay it off in 4...just to get my credit up good enough for the 07 Cobra

However, downside....on the way home, the car started freakin' out on me:

The air conditioner wouldn't blow cold at all, and then it started somking on me, and that's when I was on the freeway :notnice: Well I got it home, and found out the belt for the compressor is catching on something...I don't know what (do you guys')? But maybe some anti-freeze got on it or something? So I don't have the Stang to show off ALL WEEKEND

This is an amazing car though, I can't stop thinking about it...I think this should be enough (I am deffinetly putting duals on it) for a few years, just to get me used to it and on top of that...I am only 17, maybe a GT/Mach would have been way too much for me I mean on the 6, I can even feels the tires going all around on turns...so God only knows how it would be on a V8...hahahaha.

BTW-- Anyone have a 2004 V6 here?

There's a whole forum of v6 owners.(Right below this one)

16G's for a v6 Premium is about as good as you can do.

+You got your color
+You got your premium

So what are you gonna do about the belts and A/C? How many miles did it have?

Also Congrats

matt - there were 181 miles when I took a test drive...when I got it home, there were about 205.

Scott - thanx, for the cool post, I love it...and yes insurance, instead of about 350-400$/month, it's only 220$ (and that's in MY NAME). Kicks ****!

WOOHOO...just wish I could go for a drive, it's a decent nice out tonight, not too hot...

About the belts, the dealership where I bought it from (MEL CLAYTON, awesome) are bringing a tow truck over Monday at 8AM and will give me a call by NOON to tell me what's wrong with it...on top of that, they even offered to two it back to my house...

I would take it back right away and have them fix "anything" you find wrong with it. Sounds good, I'll be waiting to see pictures. Congrats!

I am happy for you! CONGRATS!

You did great and considering all the factors involved, you made an excellent choice. AND DON'T PUT A WING ON IT, or I'll have you shot!

Enjoy! :drive:

Well, thanks guys'....

I guess I posted this at the wrong time...I finally get more people then Matt and Scott replying, lol.

Belts issue should be no biggie, slap a new one on, and make sure the air works...should be an in and out job!

WING -- I don't need no wing. I do have the spoiler that came with it, but as I said to everyone here...I will most likely put on the 2004 Cobra 'knock off' ducktail....later on.

Pics will be here as soon as I get it back from the dealer and get her a new wash and wax job...BLACK is so beautiful when clean...I am crying just lookign at it now (and it's a puny 6er).

Hey, it's still a hot car. Wash it, wax it, slap the Cobra spoiler on and snap some photos. Then post 'em!

good luck with it, have fun, and be careful, especially in the water/ice. can be hard to get traction, even with a v-6. black is beautiful when clean, but good luck keeping it that way. :P

I am confused about the spoiler. Is yours the Anniversary Edition with gold stripes?
