Does anyone know what would be involved in swapping an automatic transmission for a manual one in a 2004 V6? Costs? Would you need to change anything else on the car to make it work? Where can one find the transmission and needed parts? Anyone make any recommendations on where to get it done in SD? Thank you.

to do the swap your gonna need of course the Transmission, clutch disk, flywheel, pressure plate, pilot bearing, throw out bearing,shifter,inner-outter boots, clutch cylinder, clutch lines, slave cylinder, powertrain frame and a speedo cable ...here is a how to http://www.mustangmonthly.com/howto/41438/ as for pricing you'd really have to call up shops if you have them do it, or check out the how-to and price up what you need. hopefully that helps as for transmissions check out ford direct, jegs, summit
