Speedometer flicker

I have a V6 2001 Mustang w/manual trans. I just noticed around 70 MPH the speedometer drops back and forth between 65- 70 MPH. Everything else seems fine. Has anyone else seen this before?

I've heard of this happening before, but i've never seen it personally. Does the speedo needle flicker if you set the cruise control?

I was using the cruise control when I noticed the flicker. The engine RPM seems steady and the car runns OK.

SOunds like the speed sensor is giving out. Best get it checked, just so that you can be sure that when the speedo is reading 70, that you are actually doung 70 and not 80!

Speedometer flicker

The one thing I've tried is clean every grounding point I can reach. I cleaned the battery as well. So far, the flicker hasn't returned.
