As far as transmission I want an automatic. Would I need a different driveshaft? Could I use my stock rear end at first I'm pretty anxious about this swap and wanna start ASAP

With a 5.0 use your stock K member with 94-95 gt motor mounts. As far as a transmission look for a 86-92 AOD that uses a cable to control the shifting

Do you currently have a 5speed?
Either way, I think the input shaft lengths are different. Pretty sure you need a transmission for a 302

Its pretty straight forward. Unplug the harness, remove you coolant, fuel, etc lines, intake, driveshaft, unhook shifter and wiring. Probably will be easier to remove the radiator and front bumper as well.
