I have a question. My buddy wants to either put a roush style front racia or a Cobra R front facia on his 02 V6. I told him that I did'nt think it would be rice as long as he stayed away adding a new wing. What do you think?

As long as looks good and is not too dramatic, it's ok. It might even look good. A Roush front end would be perfect, IMO, whereas the Cobra R front would look incomplete without the other pieces. It may be borderline rice with the dramatic R front.

But, he's gotta have nice rims. A body kit addition with stock V6 rims is a big no-no. :nono:

as long as he doesnt try to pass it off as a roush or R, then no harm no foul IMO.

There is a whole new language starting here!

As Scot says, as long as he isn't trying to pass a V6 off as a Cobra or a Roush, it's not a problem. i.e., Do NOT change the emblems!

When I finally get round to doing something with mine, I am going to try to keep it as understated as possible,

I agree, man. Don't try to change it too much to where you're trying to pass it off as a Cobra or Roush. Front fascia is cool, but if you're trying to change the emblems too, that's no good. Besides, at least he's not trying to make it look something like this (notice the fangs in the front fascia...horrible):

No, no emblem changes are in the plans. He just wants it to look a little different, I for one like the lowered front facia. Anyone else?

I think it'll look good with nice rims and a few other adjustments. Like, you can't have a low front fascia while the rest of the car is still high off the ground. It won't look good. No big wing. Even if the Cobra R has it, it doesn't mean it'll work on the street! I'm sure he's not considering it now, but he might get carried away, ya know? The Cobra R is a race car, the V6 base-model Mustang is NOT.

But, any body modification can look classy if executed properly. Even some body kits on imports look nice if they're not overdone and don't scream, "look at me, I look fast!!"

Go for it. Roush is more subtle. That's what V6 styling is IMO.

Does roush front facia require side skirts?
