When i was shopping for a mustang back in 2001 i noticed after i bought the v6 that it had GT in the back, So maybe i thought the person who had before just put it on to look cool or something. But then i started seeing other V6 with GT in the back of it, does anyone know why would ford put GT on the back of a v6 i've seen like atleast 20 of them since then. Wierd B)

But seriously we have alot of idiots around my area that has like steeda emblems and stuff on there mustangs, but no steeda products. I saw at a car show in town a Fox-body mustang with the steeda ground effects, It had mustang gt on the sides, and an SVT symbol on the trunk. It made me sick to my stomach.

the 99 GT's are nearly identical to the v-6's...
check the rear bumper- does it have cut-outs for two exhaust pipes? then it's a GT...

otherwise, it's a six. A lying six

 

Even more so just listen to the engine. Some sixers will put GT catback exhaust systems with GT rear bumpers. You can always tell the sound from teh OHV V6 though.
