I had ordered an '05 GT.....but the GF saw this one (new 2004), and liked the body style better? Last week I didn't pay any attention, because the price on the '04 was at MSRP ($22,000 +). :notnice: Well, I happened down to the lot tonight to see if they had gotten any '05 GT's in yet, and I noticed they had the '04 discounted all the way down to $16,500......trying to get them off the books before all the '05's start flooding the lot. The '04 is an automatic (good for GF, since it would be her driver), and it lists an interior upgrade pkg. with Mach stereo 6-disc. I know I won't buy both cars......but she liked the '04 alot, and I guess I would continue driving my Isuzu Rodeo if I got her the '04 for her B-Day next week. I like the outside of the '04 better.....but the '05 interior is definitely an upgrade, IMO. Decisions...decisions...decisions

For that moey, g for the '04 and ugrade in a few years time when all the niggles are ironed out of the S197!

At $16.5k (£9k I cannot even get a focus for that!) It has to be a steal!

Good luck Kevin, get the car and you will have a very appreciative girlfriend!

I've never driven a V-6 Mustang other than the new '05, but the GF wants me to go down and check it out today. I told her if we get that '04, that it is her driver and that if I have to give up my '05 order....then it's my turn next year when the Cobra comes out. Not sure what we're gonna do beyond me going and looking today. I do have a '05 GT Satin Silver with Red Leather on order, and there are 4 people signed onto that order as backup customers that want to buy if I refuse it......

Good decision! I got an email offer for . . .

"Remember the 2004 Mustang that you recently inquired about? Well we have got GREAT news!!! We are trying to get rid of the 2004 Mustangs and we are practically giving them away. We have only a few left so please hurry today to take advantage of these great deals.

Just to show you what I am talking about, here is a 2004 Mustang GT with the stock number 4F156210. This Mustang is equipped with leather bucket seats, a 6-CD changer, 17" premium alloy wheels, and a 4.6L V-8 engine. The manufacturer suggested retail price is $27,070 and I will offer it to you for only $22,549!!! And yes, we have others like this one."

Both are nice rides so it comes down to personal preference and your budget. BTW, no offense, but who buys their girlfriend a car?? I can say from two of my buddys experiences that this normally ends up in ruin.

Just my $0.02

I drove by my local dealership yesterday and they had a competition orange v-6 Auto 2004 listed at 15,500-over 5,500 off retail.

Only problem-I cannot get the dealer to email or call me regarding my interest in a purchase. Go figure-seems as if I will have to beat them over the head to sell me a car.

Anyway-yes the deals on the 04's are out there if you look hard enough.
