Solved the charging issue. Swapped it with the one in the blue car Ordered the drivers side power window motor since the one I unlocked took a dump. Guess it has an open circuit in the rotor because if I take it off the window regulator and press the switch, the stupid thing works. I put it back in and works for a couple weeks or months, then it craps again.

Windows work as intended I've been chasing an electrical gremlin messing up the charging system. I swapped altetnators between the cars to see if that was the issue. It wasn't. I made two new connections to the battery. Guess that solved it. Oh and the battery is almost dead. Wont stay fully charged after a few hours. Can still start the car, but it's a matter of time before it goes out completely. My brother is interested in it, so I may sell it to him when he comes back from Virginia.

My brother likes the car so far. He's fixing it little by little the annoying stuff it has like a blown right strut, tie rod and ball joint. Sway bar bushings are next.

Got it back.

Long story short, my bro needed something more practical to haul the family, so I got the mustang back an sold him the Lancer instead. Guess I'll decide if I part it out this time or sell it.

Update

The 96 was spewing coolant before the fan turned on. A new radiator cap fixed it.

I was wondering if you flushed the cooling system or not? Pressure check? Did you get a new battery? Also Autozone will check the charging system for free that is if you still have a charging problem. .

Charging problem solved. Still need to drain and refill.

edit: looks like the alternator took a dump. No longer works.

Haven't driven it for some time. Possibly parting it out soon. There are parts for both the 94 and the Ranger that I can pull out from it.

OBD II port and power locks work now. Was a blown fuse. Gauge cluster has one half lallen to pieces literally, much of the circuit board. Alternator works when it wants lol. No trouble codes Every sensor works as intended.

Put the car in a for sale ad a few days ago. Hope I get as close as I can to my asking price.

Transmission began acting up. I hear the pump whine, but no D or R. It worked a few weeks ago, but not anymore. My guess is the filter got clogged.

Update!

New transmission filter arrived. Still need to put it on lol. And since the strut brace won't clear the gt40 intake that will go to the 94, the v6 got a free mod

I dropped the transmission pan and removed the filter. Things don't look too good. Lots of debris in the oil. Not metalic, but like friction material. Filter was clogged badly. I passed the oil throug some clean rags to clean it and reuse it with the new filter and see if it will work at least to move it arround the yard. Part out for sure.
