Issues with speedometer

Rcently purchased a 94 v6. I trying to restore for my wife and have run into an issue with the speedometer not working. I have replaced the BSS and gear. Still not work. Is there a speedometer cable on this car? What should be my next step to check?
Thanks for any advice in advance.

The speedometer is electronic. There's no cable. You've probably got a bad speedo needle motor. Here's a video showing the thing taken apart, but the purpose is to show the odometer gear replacement, which will not fix your problem. You can see the speedometer motor on the Integrated Circuit (IC) behind the speedometer of the cluster. At about the 5 minute mark, you'll see both that and the RPM motor on its IC.

I don't know if you can get the motor. You can probably just get another instrument cluster out of another car and just swap the IC, as the odometer is a physical item that's separate from the speedo. Or you might can get an entire instrument cluster and spin the odo to match yours. Or you can maybe order the entire IC for your car from Ford.

Hope that works, and welcome to the forums!
