I Saw Something I Really Liked...
Today I saw a stang driving around (that was black) with a billet grill (I think, is that the one that is all shiny and silver-y?) and then off to the side was the tri-pony logo(is that what it is called, when there is a blue, white, red strips and a small pony running?)(instead of our huge running pony logo in the middle).
To me this looked really sharp, and would like to see what it would look like on a V6, anyone phot-chop it for me, or know of any pics off hand? Popualr mod? I haven't seen too many like that here!
Just thought I would ask the best guys' in the world to help me out!

Does anyone think that the grill shown up there by George (thanx for the link by the way!) would look good with the tri-bar. I thought it looked really nice...however, not many people have them, what's up?

Any of those grilles look cheap and are cheap. You are having too many thoughts on personalizing your pony and you might wind up bastardasing the car.
If you want to improve your Pony why not go with genuine Ford alternatives? For example, the Mach 1 grille delete kit, the Mach 1 chin spoiler, the Bullitt fuel door, the '03 Cobra rear spoiler, mirrors, and wheels, ect, ect.
Look at Boomer's pony. His mods are not imposing but have improved its appearance with a clean look.

George,
I understand where you are coming from, but darn man...I am not made of money...or atleast not any more!
So where do you guys' go to look for Mach1 grill delete/chin spoiler...and what the heck do you mean by mirrors? What would I need new mirrors for?
And we have been over this George
you know I like the 04 semi-ductail...and that will be mine some time!

Pick up a few Mustang magazines. MM&FF, 5.0, and you will see all the ads for accessories you will ever need. I agree with George on everything he said. Boomers car looks sweet for a 6cyl without going gaudy/annoying. Try to make it a class act.

Abe: I meant the '03-'04 Cobra mirrors which are retractable and when painted provide a very nice touch. In your case, your car being black, they need not be painted. All you need is some ArmorAll and look a lot better than the stock. I have them on my Bullitt, unpainted.
As for not being made out of money, here are some some prices advertised in Mustang magazines that won't drive you to a Chapter 11:
-- Mach 1 delete kit: $50
-- Mach 1 chin spoiler: $60
-- Bullitt fuel door: $70
For the wheels, you can wait until you need to replace the tires (unless you can sell them): www.gefracing.com click on Ford Racing Parts (the wheel deal, Mach 1 parts, Bullitt parts, and so on) will mount tires, balance them, and ship them to you. There are also companies that sell "take offs" and usually have a few hundred miles on them, or go to a Fun Ford Weekend event. You can get good deals there as well. In addition, Mustang Parts Specialties, Inc. has a wide range of used parts. You might be able to locate a trunk lid with the ducktail spoiler and in your color.
And my consulting fee is $1K.

Wow...thanks George and Kevin. I seriously had no ieda that the chin spiler for a MACH would be so cheap, I thought somewhere around 200-300$...not less than 100$. Is that hard to replace, people who have done it before? I would like to do that along with the grill delete on my own, I don't wanna be charged for something that shouldn't take longer than a couple of hours of work!
Hmmmm, you guys' are the best, saving all links right now!

Chin spoiler and lock on plastic clips (10 - 12).
-- You'll need a drill and bits (I don't remember the size so start small) 3/16", 7/32", and maybe 1/4". Some masking tape to hold it in place, unless you have a helper. The chin spoiler has the holes already made, so set, drill into the bottom part of the bumper, and push the clip in.
-- Set one end of the spoiler "flush" with the end of one fender, once you drilled, push on the clip.
-- Do the other side, then work your way around.
The front of the chin spoiler will "not" be flush with the front of the bumper. It will sit back about 1/4" to 3/8". I suggest you look at a Mach 1 prior to the start of your project to get an idea of what the finished product should look like.
The Bullitt fuel door I have done, but not the grille delete.
