Followed my buddy in his '02 Mustang v-6 to the dealer today, to see what he could get for trade on an '05. I noticed a small puff of smoke out his exhaust when he shifted. Any idea what would cause this? Has 46,000 miles. Is this serious enough to prevent dealer from accepting it for trade?

This is not the right forum, but I guess it would depend on the color of the smoke.

I have to say that the dealer would not realise the problem....... Anyway, if it is cold out, you always get a "white smoke" when shifting. If it is black smoke, there might be a problem........

Relayed your response and my buddy's relaxed a lot, because it did appear to be white smoke that I saw. Thanks for responding.
