Dual Exhaust for V6

So I went to an exhaust shop looking to install some cat back Flowmasters for my 2004 and the guy recommended that I should go with 2 inch pipes instead of the 2.25 that I've been looking at. He also recommended a brand called "Walker Dyno Max Super Turbo". Has anyone ever heard of this brand, and is it truly better than Flowmaster and Magna Flow or is he just trying to push that particular brand?

I believe its an off brand. Can't say if its better or not. And I would just stick with the 2.25 pipes as well.

The 2.25 inch is what I had in mind, but the guy at the shop said I should go with 2 inch because I would lose back pressure if I go with the 2.25 inch. Is that possible. And I've been looking up flowmaster and dyno max super turbos on youtube and really prefer the sound of flowmasters for my sixer.

Your not going to loose any backpressure. Stock is 2.25. I would think going that small would be more of a restriction, not a benefit.

Would 2 inch duals be too restrictive? I also read some where if I go 2.5 or wider I would lose some torque. Is that true?

2.5 would be fine, anything bigger you would start loosing backpressure. Just go with the 2.25. I don't think it would be too restrictive, but it will have restriction.

I'm assuming yours is a V6. If so, did you lose any power in the low rpm's?

I'd just leave the stock 2.25" pipes. If I were you, I would look up videos of Thrush mufflers on YouTube. They're the only brand for V6 I liked in every video I watched. I'm getting Thrush welded mufflers, an H pipe, and stock cats on my '04 V6 at the end of the month. I don't like the sound of the Thrush Turbo mufflers, so I doubt the brand he recommended would sound good.
