Hello, new here and a new owner of a 99 3.8 auto trans 109k

Few questions, are these years prone to transmission and head gasket problems?

Will any 4r70w(from f150) work for my car or am I looking for a specific bell housing/starter?

Is there any good source for used parts on the forum? I need quite a few cosmetics parts. Center dash bezel, gas filler door, headlight, bumper clips, door/a-arm bezels/trim, heater vents, convertible top mechanism, hood latch & reciever

Would it be cheaper to buy new heads and swap eberything over, than it would be to take my heads in to be decked and polished(175$ per side)

I haven't heard anything bad about the trans or head gaskets. I'd go ahead and flush all your fluids though.

American Muscle & CJ's Pony Parts are good for different restoration and aftermarket parts. The cars are really a piece of cake to work on, and pretty simple. Only problem we ever really had with our 04 vert was a leak we couldn't locate until we had a top specialist look at it.
