2003 Mustang V6 Dual Exhaust- Suggestions needed!
Hey yall,
I have an 03 Mustang with only a CAI on it currently. I don't have a ton of money but I am currently saving up for a dual exhaust. I've search forums and different posts for about a week on the subject but I still need help. I'm torn between finding gt takeoffs, getting dual exhaust custom made, or using MAC. Which is the cheapest, best for performance, and do I need an x or h pipe? Thank you all for your help!

As far as cheap (but best) performance goes...I'd suggest MAC. You can get their catback system that is a direct bolt-on to the v6's stock y-pipe. It'll save you a lot more $$$ and you don't need an h-pipe. I believe MAC sells them for around $300.

acually if your looking to do a Y pipe kit the cheapest place to find that by mac is https://www.proficientperformance.com/ they sell it for 299 shipped to your door
Found something new. How is this deal compared to the website with MAC exhaust? http://www.stangparts.com/home.cfm?s...products/index Which would you reccomend (GT takeoffs vs. MAC) and why? Thanks!
GT take offs are 2.25" compared to mac 2.50",,the advantage of gt take offs though are they're stainlesssteal which Mac isnt, you can always buy Mac flowpath mufflers and weld them into the gt take offs but then you'd need an h pipe or a true dual adapter that would weld in right before your cats..i personally reccomend just getting a mac y pipe kit if your not planning on adding a whole lot of power , mac y pipe is just bolt on up gt take offs will take welding yada more work then its really worth
If you're going to put Duals on the V6, make sure you get a GT back bumper, or something that accomidates dual exaust as it does. I don't think V6's with duals look very good with them just hanging below the stock bumper IMO.
