My brother in-law has a 00 V6 mustang. He wants to do some minor mods to it, mostly looks, but some cheap power adding mods would be great. like cold air kit and gears and maybe exhaust. Also hoods, wheels, and such, i would like some suggestions and some sites, link, catalogs.

hmmm cosmetics.. some billitt interior peices, mach-1 chin spoiler, mach-1 grill delete, wheels (dunno what he likes, 17x10.5 in rear and 17x9 bullit wheels look good though) white faced guages, maybe tints, hood scoop and side scoops off a GT
As for performance look into a mac dual exhaust ( prob do a y pipe kit if he dont plan to add much performance ) i really like the KN FIPK cold air intake, as for gears 3.73 for manual 4.10 for automatic and some t-loc look into a chip then if he really wants he can look into 70mm throttle body , port n polished upper and lower intake manifold.. dual ported n polished heads n cam but dunno if he wants to get that far into it

Thanks, i only no about the V8 powered cars, He just wants to spruce it up a bit, i think he needs to sell it for a Mach 1. His car is a nice lil car, but it is not any race car, but overall i like it.

Yeah, we all would like Mach 1 instead of V6, but ... you know the reason ...

You can get a few more RWHP if you install an underdrive pulley.

I'd think long and hard before going with a dual exhaust. With only minor mods, dual exhaust may cause a loss of HP in the lower revs. So for regular driving dual exhaust is not necessarily a performance mod. For spirited driving, up close to the rev limit, you may see a horsepower increase. It all depends on how the car is driven.

Here is a link to someone who has done quite a few performance mods on a 2000 V6 convertible:

You'll find step by step instructions, along with photos or illustrations, of each mod. It's a good place to browse when trying to decide what to do to your sixer.
