http://www.veryuseful.com/mustang/tech/engine/ May be a good starting point, but a *guess* is maybe at some point the headlight switch was removed and prior to it being replaced, some of the 6 individual terminals came out of the plug and probably got reinserted incorrectly. I had this happen with the other plug for the hazard lights. You can check this by pulling that headlight switch and see if the order of the wiring match up to a known 'good' set up. (an example I found was at http://www.am-autoparts.com/Ford/Mus...34/374686.html ). Good luck!

Edit: did a little more reseach and came upon this- http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images...ghtswitch.jpg/ (credit: http://forums.corral.net/forums/gene...ss-switch.html)

This mustang has some serious wiring problems, I have checked all the grounds that i have located fuses + fusebox, Besides the lights the starter stays engaged for like a couple seconds everystart i put a new starter and solinoid in today, Still dose it no change. Found out yesterday when it rained that with the ingtion off wiperswitch on the wipers still go but very slow ? Never seen nothing like this how can i check the switch ? I''m gonna check the wire going to solonoid tomorrow to see if it''s staying hot after releasing the key, This car was converted from a auto to a manual wonder if thats got something to do with it ?

Got the starter fixed, the relay on the fenderwell was wired wrong. Now if i could figure these lights out, the parking lights will brighten and dim, with dashlight dimmer switch ? Read another post where someone had the same problem in 08 but never posted with the fix

I''ve checked the outside grounds, i'll see if i can find the ones under the dash, I played with the dashlight dimmer switch earler and theres a certain spot, where the parking lights will go out. But the dashlites still come on with the key, Could a bad dimmer switch do this ?

Any luck so far? I found this as well: http://www.thatmetalbox.com/automoti...t-Cluster.html I noticed it was a diagram that wasn't included on the first site I suggested.
By the way, my dash dimmer dial has been kind of twitchy itself, but the only thing that happens is the dash lights may go out only if I mess with it. I never noticed anything going on with the parking lights. Hopefully this new diagram may help out some.
