I need help with my transmission. Its my first car and i just baught a 88 gt. The transmission is shot. My friend offered to sell me his transmission out of his 95 5.0. Will it fit? Is it the same transmission as the 87-93's? Anything comments will help... thanks alot.

If your talking about the T5 manual tranny's, the '95 won't fit unless you change either the bell housing or the input shaft & bearing retainer. The '94 & '95 T5's have longer input shafts.

TooManyCars is right about the manual transmissions... as for automatics, I've never had any experience with them, but I would infer that you'd run into the same problems. Your best bet is talk to someone at a Transmission shop.
