Storing stang for winter and need ideas/help

What should I do to store my mustang for 3 months inside a garage? I know of taking battery out. Do you think it would help to put carpet under each wheel so they are not sitting on the concrete floor of the garage? Should my fuel tank be full or maybe 1/4 full? Also, I read somewhere about putting dryer sheets either in the engine bay or interior but don't remember. Looking for any input you all may have.
Thanks in advance!

Mine is stored in a 3 car Garage with concrete floors. Here is what I do to mine...

Change the oil.
Drive to the gas station
Add Staybil and any fuel injector additive that you may want.
-- I periodically add a techron additive if not using Chevron fuel.
Fill with non-ethanol fuel (this will mix the Staybil in)
Drive home or storage. (this gets the Staybil into the fuel lines, etc)
Wash and clean car inside and out.
Drain Oil Separator (if installed)
Wax car, and any other appearance cleanup prep.(black the plastic, tires, wax wheels)
Check and fill tires to at least the correct pressure
(I usually set a couple pounds higher)
- I will also rotate once over the winter as I have spare time.
Pull battery positive cable
- I typically do not pull the battery. Garage is warm enough that Battery won't freeze.
- I will charge battery a couple times over winter. Could use a tender, but I don't trust them.
Cover car.
- Mine is parked in an insulated garage, but I still cover.

Sits about 4 months.

I usually don't start, but if you do get to running temp

Then in spring, I run for a few 100 miles then get oil changed.
wash if needed.
wax about 1 month after pulled out.

No mice issues here, but keep that in mind.

I am on the third winter with this car no issues so far.

Hope this is helpful
Good luck

Thanks shaneyusa! Do you put anything on the floor to park it on, like cardboard? I was thinking of using some carpet scraps but was told that carpet will retain moisture.

I don't. Just parked on dry concrete. But, I will rotate my tires in January/February to prep for the spring. I have not had any issues with flat spots. Most modern tires do not have any real issues with that. FYI, I have Cooper RS/3 tires.

I just put my '88 GT away for the winter yesterday as I have done for the last 27 years. I change the coolant and brake fluid once a year usually in October. When the storage day comes, I fill the tank with fresh fuel, drive home and do an oil change, wash and wax the car, vacuum the interior, and center the car in an unheated garage. Next the car is placed on cement blocks topped with wood to separating the suspension from the cement blocks and allow the wheels to move freely. I use a battery tender to keep the charge up. The car is covered and started for 15-20 minutes each month and run on the blocks inside the garage until the exhaust is hot and dry. I usually run 10-15 miles inside the garage each season. This storage set up has been used all these years with great success and come April the car is ready to go and get some fresh gas! I have never used fuel stabilizers because I do not want to foul the EFI and the car has not had any fuel issues come spring.

This was my first winter to store
Got the oil changed
Had run the tank to almost empty - put in Stay-bil and filled with premium - non ethanol gas
Drove her home mixing the Stay-bil and detailed her fully (cleaned and treated the ragtop)
Put dryer sheets in an open ziploc in the engine bay, trunk, and under both front seats
Plastic sheet on the concrete floor (unheated garage)
put layer of cardboard where the tires would go
put a layer of carpet over the cardboard
Backed her in as close to the side of the garage as possible (need the extra room to open the other car door (the coupe stang)
Covered her with the fitted car cover.

Every two weeks - we roll her forward or backwards
Every month hook her up to a battery maintainer and charge the battery back up

So far so good. The Coupe is just sitting clean in the garage - we will back her out and run her to temp every so often on to the driveway and she will be used in emergency cases only. We thought we might drive her - but have decided to try and not do that if any salt on the roads. We have a 2001 Chevy S10 4X4 that we share.
