Hey every one I am looking for some suggestions on why my speedometer has quit working

 

Have you checked your speedo cable to make sure it's still i one piece?

 

What year/engine is your car? 1979-93 cars with EFI or cruise control have a cable or speed sensor. If it is a carbureted car without cruise, it could be the cable. The drive gears in the transmission could also be worn and can be easily replaced.

 

Found out my cable was melted from a small fire I had any one know where to get them for the 2.3l rock auto is a no go

The caveat: If your Fox is an *early* one (83-86) and does *NOT* have cruise control, the cable is apparently different:

Probably a length issue.

You might also check American Muscle, LMR, Ebay and Amazon, and if a vendor chimes in, them maybe, and of course you probably could go to a Ford dealer and get the things there.
