SAAC mustang???

browsing around looking at mustang II parts and i found this (click the image)





the MK II is what let me see it. what IS this? i think it looks pretty cool tho

look at those options! some pretty cool stuff

whoa almost 52,000 for a
mustang in 1992!

thats crazy. you could buy a brand new Lx 5.0 for around 12,000 at that time.

i know, that was a big surprise when i saw it. still looks great. and its going for about half that. i like it. if i ever get meself a fox vert, i definately want to go with something like that

They were a VERY LIMITED edition model built by the Shelby American Automobile Club, hence SAAC.

They only lasted for a couple years making those cars before going out of business. I bought a handful of leftover NOS parts back in the day (Rollbars, valve covers, intake plates, oil caps, etc) after they went out of business. They were very expensive and you never see them anymore like we did back when they were new...it's been years since I've seen one at a show so I imagine they are all put up in peoples garages.

it says MK II, im assuming there was a MK I too. what does the MK I have that the II didnt?

also.. was there a MK III? i think these things are just plain awesome

I believe the first year was the MK I and the 2nd MK II...there was no MK III. I used to know a bit about these cars but have forgotten a lot as it's been 13 years since they were made and at least 11 years since I last saw one in person.
