speaking of Fox chassis Mustangs I saw on another post that they made a T-top coupe  I don't believe they did but if anyone has any pics of maybe an aftermarket one could you please post them. I would be interested to see what it would lokk like.
I was in the process of buying one about 8 years ago from California but wasn't fast enough. It was a Tan 1985 5.0 LX with tan interior and T-tops. They are uncommon but do exist. EVERY T-top car made in the Fox era was done by Cars and Concepts straight from Ford's production line.....so technically none of them were every "factory produced".

Here is a picture of one

haha.. Thanks Fordracing200...it's ok though, I hear that crap ALL the time and just try to ignore it . It's what I can afford and I love it (especially with insane gas prices now-a-days). Of course, something else with more power could never hurt!

Red Star...I see you have a V6 (nice car by the way), how often do you hear it needs a V8? lol

As for everyone else...very nice foxes!!...especially your Saleen Mrmstng...I love Saleens

No meaning I was not fast enough and the car sold before I could arrange shipping on it

The '86 is NOT a better engine...flat top pistons and poor heads...the '85 had valve reliefs and better heads...therefore more mod friendly

Sometimes people ask me why I went for V6 instead of V8. Hey, its was birthday present so I can't complain.

Thanks Paul! So they do exist! Very cool. I would love to see a Saleen coupe with T-tops.

BTW Wildstanglx90, very sharp car! I had an 86 lx 2.3 that I added a bigger carb. and performance camshaft to for a little extra power. It was a great car!

86 had SEFI theirfore better than carb, and 89 heads on a 86 yields a lil higer compresion, and makes it just as good as a 87

In your mind maybe because you don't understand Carbs....don't put something down because you don't understand it. Sure 89 heads will fit on the 86 but you can't run 1.7 rockers or a cam without fear of piston to valve contact. I have seen some get away with rockers and others not. Just because it was fuel injected doesn't make it better.

The 86 had the 8.8 over the 85 7.5...easily changed
The 85 had valve relief forged pistons and good heads...the 86 didn't...NOT easily changed.

Your overall best bet if you must have EFI is to swap in an '87-92 5.0 into the '86 ...but again it all boils down to are you going to leave it stock or mod it?

But the "it's therefore better because it is EFI" is an ignorant statement

My father sold his 86 GT and the buyer put a B303 cam in it and had no trouble shockingly. The car had 89 heads on it and it had alot of minor mods, exhaust tb, injectors, etc

Sorry but I have to throw the flag on that one.....that is so close that one high rev would more than likely ping a valve against the piston.

To each his own I guess, but if I had a 1993 cobra, I'd leave it just what it is, for what it is. Its a part of mustang heritage, why would you want to change it around. If thats the case, then modify a normal 1993 hatch to however you want. IMO. It's sort of like that "93 tubbed cobra fordracing200 posted while ago. What a shame. Anyways, if its your car, do with it what you want, that is if in fact you get it. Just needed to let off some steam...
