Hi!

I am beginning a restoration on 1986 Saleen #26. It is Jalapeno Red, and has grey trim -- around the windows, the bumpers, and side mouldings.

My question is, does anyone have a paint code for the trim around the windows? Does this grey match the bumpers and the side mouldings?

In the past, I have used the rattle can bumper grey (SEM???). I am sure that is NOT appropriate for the window mouldings and the trim around the door glass and side windows.

Any help is greatly appreciated. It's been a long time since I posted here, but I think a pic of the car is attached. (The Saleen was the Official Pace Car at Saugus Speedway from 1986 to 1987). I will be restoring it to pace car specs, with the decals...for now, hoping to do a 347 Crate motor from Ford Racing.

im not real sure of the code. i had an 86 gt and i know they made spary cans of the trim color. we used that to match the car when i had it repainted. i dont know if saleens were different. i would contact mark at www.performanceautosport.com he deals mostly with saleen stuff

Any help out there on the gray window trim for an 86?

As an aside, 86 Saleens (except verts) all left Ford as LXs.

Saleen mods included no different paint or paint work, other than to paint the skirts/spats, wing, and air dam.

I sell the exterior trim for the SVO's....same as your exterior trim. www.svpu.com, it's in the shopping cart system there. It's a dead match for original.
