NYC Highway Patrol LX fox

Anyone ever see or have pics of that NYC Highway Patrol Car that was confiscated from a Drug Dealer . It is white with chrome rims. It has no light bar, just strobes in stock lights. It has chrome rims (I forget which ones). And it sounds sweet. It says NYPD Highway Patrol and on the back it says "Confiscated from a Drug Dealer" :bang: . A Highway officer drives it and he wears those high boots and the guy is like 6'4". I saw it a few times moving on the FDR and one time it was parked on 76th street and Madison Ave. The cop was standing there and a crowd was developing. I wanted to stop so bad but couldn't afford another traffic ticket.
I can imagine when the drug dealer gets out of jail and eventually sees his car, maybe he will get pulled over by it someday!
It just goes to show you... CRIME DOESN'T PAY!!!!!!! :nono:

:nono: The guy got what he deserved... I have a buddy of mine that works in a speed shop and he tells me how these young PUNK drug dealers come in to the store with 9mm guns, BIG ATTITUDES, and a garbage bag FULL of cash (from weekly crack sales or whatever the IN drug is) to buy nitrous systems and $4000 rims... SCREW THEM! :notnice: They should take the cars away and lock'em up for a LONG time!

Thats why I do as much of the work as possible on my own car, or cars.
And if I do take it to a repair man for things I cannot do such as wheel alignment.
Well than, I always make sure I am able to watch. If I am not allowed to watch than thats a place I will NEVER go to again. PERIOD.
That all I need is some junky mcchanic to drop his stash in my ride for some drug dog to go wild on.
Than guess who gets to be the victim for being stupid?
Not only that but, you can learn alot by watching.

I never let anyone work on my car either... If it is a wheel alignment I have no choice. But anything else I do myself. I just recently borrowed my buddies engine hoist to lift the motor and change the oil pan gasket. In the process I noticed many things that a regular mechanic would charge a fortune to fix (dipstick was not seating properly, motor mounts needed replacement, oil fill indicator was missing a gasket). The last time I had an inspection the place called me and said I needed a new clutch, new brakes, and that the cats needed replacement and they were going to give me a great deal of like $3200! I freaked out and took my car to another garage because I had a NEW "H" pipe with cats, New 73mm calipers with slotted rotors, and I had JUST put in the T5 with a NEW clutch MYSELF!... F'in crooks didn't even look at my car!

Yeah I can agree with that! About 5 years ago I my mom took her old caddy into midas to have them check the brakes. They called her and told her it would be like 700 bucks to fix it! I showed up and said put it all back together or give me a box of parts im taking the car home. The whole thing was fixed with a 75 cent spring that had broken! Alot of these places are rip off artists!

Ya know, on the flip side of the issue you don't have to be police to get all the good deals.
I know, I've seen a 50th anniversy Corvette with 103 miles on the odometer go for 43,000 dollars. A similar one with 10,000 miles was asking 60,000 on autotrader.com. So it does happen if your patient enough.
Tho, I must admit most cars are pretty ragged out.
But, even then they can make great parts cars if nothing else.
Here's an example. Tho being in Oklahoma it won't be good for most.
There maybe something similar in your area.
just call wrecker companies in your area and ask if they have auctions

You can get a 03 cobra with light damage and low mile sat a auction for around 5-7 thousand

In Oklahoma you need a dealer licence for this auction.
However, you don't need one for the wrecker impound auctions.
The down side is that impounds tend always be the older vehicles.
Newer models here:

I am sure every state has different laws.
Tho I am not able to buy at this one I find it quite exciting to see the that SUV's seem to be the ones that rollover the most.
Regardless of who makes them.

I know people that have a dealers liscense
I know people that have a dealers liscense
Tho you would have to build it yourself.
To be worth while it would have to be some big savings.
Not sure tho since they won't let me in even to observe................

you would be better off buying a wrecked cobra (most of them have sick mods) and fixing it and driving it.
I saw a 96 mystic with real 95 R wheels and moser axles so on and it needed a front clip

Thanks Rus, I have a few buddies on the job and they had no such luck getting any info or pics. The car is the hottest law enforcement vehicle this side of the atlantic... In Italy they got a Lamborghini Police Cruiser! :worship: HOT! When I go back this summer I am going to try and get pics of that too.

This isn't really a fox, but this car was confiscated in Michigan and was at the woodward dream cruise in '04 and '03. We also have cops with Camaros that drive them regularly as cop cars (the sheriff drives them).
