New Foxbody owner

Hey guys, I am going to (most likely) end up purchasing my first foxbody tomorrow afternoon. Its an 88 GT with the GT40 setup and the TKO ford racing tranny. To be honest I dont know as much as I should about the foxbodys. What questions should I be asking and what should I be looking for.....other than the obvious like leaks and condition. Thanks a bunch!

Looks for front end damage. Overspray from a repaint. Front fenders that don't quite line up. Lots of foxes have been in front end collisions over the years considering the teenagers who eventually drove them.

Both mine have evidence of front end repairs.

Kinda late but check the torque boxes where the lower control arms mount to the body. if someone was running some sticky tires they can get torn up .

Heater core? They are a all day job to change.

When you show up to look at it ask for a cold start up. See if anything fishy happens. like some colored smoke out of the exhaust or some noise upon cold start.

Look at the inner part of the strut towers also, In the engine bay area. They tend to run out and are a weak point.
