new exhaust for my 88 gt
Just figured I would let anyone know that if they're looking for a new exhaust to put on I would highly recommend the pypes company. I used their off road x pipe and violator muffler set (all stainless steel), along with a new set of ceramic-coated Mac equal-length headers, and it made for a pretty good fit. It sounds awesome, and went together really nice, the only modifications I had to do was trim the pipes that connect the mufflers to the over-axle pipes. I'll try to link a sound bit for anyone interested....just figured I'd give my opinion..

Do you have any sound clips? The only ones from Pypes I have heard make the 5-0 sound kind of 'raw'- as in the motor sounds like something you'd have at a tractor pull or a stripped down racer. Not saying thats a BAD thing, but I like my 5.0 a little more quiet and refined (but you should hear my cherry-bombed 6 in my 68)

sorry for not getting back sooner....I don't yet have any sound clips for it, but plan on making some this weekend...it is pretty quiet at idle, but when you go through the gears, shifting around 3,000 RPM, it is almost deafening...the only thing that sucked abut the exhaust installation was that I had to do alot of cutting, which I didnt mind, but if my father didnt have a lift or a shop full of tools, it would have sucked.
