mustang dash!?

i want to put a 87-89 dash in my 86 mustang gt i was wondring if anyone could tell me if it will bolt up to the stock dash mounts. thanks for you help

Yes, it will work..... You may have to drill some new holes across the top at the base of the windshield and some of the tabs may not line up there but you can easily make it work.....

why do u wanna change your dash? it is a neat interior that is fairly rare. Are u using a stock speedo? or 140 unit or a recalibrated unit?

i dont really like the look of the older square dash and mine is in rough shape so i figured since i was replacing it i would put in the newer rounder style i am using the stock speedo

I know a hand full of people with 86 5 Liters, so trust me theres plenty out there. Also Hit Up a mustang show or 2 you'll see!

wow, i know 2 people with 86 5.0 stangs, a mustang show is obvious. i am glad to see people still take pride in those cars.

I have to agree, the dash on the early foxes (which included the fairmont and the T-bird for a couple years as well as some others) really was kinda plain. I have seen some that I liked. I took the gauge bezel out of my 82 GT and painted it flat black, it looked a little better. But the rest of the interior was red and black, so it matched. This won't work if you have blue or tan.

first things first, get the dash u want, pull the stock one, line it up, drill and mount holes/brackets where its needed and once all lined up, bolt it in place.
