Fordracing will love this one

I don't plan to keep it....I am going to fix it, clean it up and sell it. A 1988 Coupe...originally a 4 cylinder car but now a 5.0. .040 5.0 HO with B303 cam, Edelbrock Torker intake, 650CFM double pumper carb, MSD 6A ignition box, MSD blaster coil, Holley Blue electric fuel pump, long tube headers, flowmaster mufflers. 4 speed with a 3.08 traction lock rear. Clean body and a factory NON-A/C car! talk about rare....the only options the car has is power locks and it had cruise originally(not now). No rear window defrost, manual windows and no A/C....a real lightweight Fox coupe!

The guy blew a headgasket...so he says. I am going to fix it, polish her up and install a nice set of red GT seats I have here and sell it when done.

A set of 289 heads would take it to 10.1 compression and a set of 4.30 gears in an 8.8 would make this thing a screamer

What a great starting point for making a track day/AutoX car.
(At least for those of us who like to turn left and right, that is.)

I never realized counter steering was part of driving a 4 wheeled vehicle unless the vehicle is torqu steering on you.

The church has a strict policy against "donating" things to fellow church members....we only accept donations from the outside.

I called Dion Warwick, she indicated that there very well may be an efi swap, shaved heads for higher compression, and a nice shot of spray in the cars future

Yes, I am the one who got it. I have been without a mustang for a while now and wanted another one. This is my sixth mustang I have owned. I really dont care for foxes in general and swore that if I ever did get another fox, it would be a coupe. So when Paul got this one, I wanted it. It is in really good shape as far as the body and interior, which is exactly what I was looking for.

I thought seriously about turning it into basically an all out drag car. However after seeing the light and learning the joy of a good curve, I am torn bewteen drag car and a curve handling monster. It is almost a shame to turn it into something that will only handle straight lines.
Altough if you are gonna turn a mustang into an all out drag caar, the fox coupe is by far the best model to do it with.

I will keep updates posted as the progress comes along.
