gt40p

Do they sell a plug wire set for these heads so the plug wires don't get burned.

Just look for a set with 45* boots on the end and you should be fine.

Only set I know of are the msd 90 degree ones but they are make your own length ones. I run them in my car, it's not too hard to cut and crimp your own wires. Comes with the crimper and part you need, I used pliers to crimp mine because I didn't have a vice at the time. They were $100 at Jegs when I bought them, only other option is to get different headers.

Don't waste your money on trying to use the little thermal sleeves on the driversside plug wire that lays on the header with the other plug wires, it will still melt.

I dont have gt40p heads. But my high heat sleeves definitely help protect my wires! I think they were about 30 $ on summit racing.

I still ended up using a thermal sleeve on the one plug that kept melting with the other style plug wires. With the 90 degree plugs it clears everything no problem, but I did the sleeve just to be somewhat cautious.

Also wil need a shortened socket to get my plugs out as the headers are too close...

Were you having problems with it burning up the plug on the drivers side?

Also let me know how everything fits with those headers, I was considering going with Mac long tubes that are made for the P heads sometime down the road.

I install the headers and there is all kind of room for the plugs with the 45º angles no need to get the 90º boots or sleeves. I have a ? The m.a.f does it need to be bigger than the t..b also what size is the stock m.a.f. on a stock 5.0 I have a 65mm t.b now.

Thanks.

Stock maf is 55mm, if your still running the 19lb injectors you could get a maf from a 94-95 5.0 and adapt it to your car. I just did this recently as the 94-95 maf is 70mm stock and is calibrated for 19lb injectors, I ended up jut cutting off the ears on the maf because I bought an adapter for a cone filter but it wouldn't work so I just took it back and ground the ears off and slipped my cone filter over it.

Haven't had a chance to drive it down the road for the computer to relearn but it starts right up no problem. I run a 75mm TB (kind of overkill for my setup but it was cheap)so it's getting enough air since its not choked down.
