Got the panels repainted "smoke" on the Ex Georgia State Patrol Mustang....I will take the time to redo everything later when I have the time but for now this will put it back into "driver" status. I still have to paint the 10 holes black and get tires for them but at least it is back the original two-tone color from it's former service days

The first pic is what it looked like when I got it...the second 2 pics are as of today.

You know... Its not illegal to have a dash light or a light bar on top of the vehicle as long as you don't use it You may have to get it approved but that would look really neat!

No, I think they're right. The Cobra faces towards the front on the passenger side and towards the rear on the drivers side.

Good eye though Doug! I hadn't even noticed them. Still posers though

Hey paul heres a website with emergancy lights. All kinds of them, dash, full lightbars, mini light bars. Just in case you put some on:

http://www.sirennet.com/index.html

I've bought from them before. They're cheap! (prices that is)

I will be putting some lights and features back on the car.....ofcourse it is show only as it is highly illegal and I am not about to use them on the road....but they would be nice for show.

I also may stray a bit from the 10 holes.....still a black wheel with silver cap but I have another set of wheels here I might try out. I'm not going back as any form of concours restoration...just having fun

Watch out though some of those lights are over a grand!!

I like these the most I think:

I think that would be a Vector bar.

This car more than likely originally had a Whelan bar on it.....I doubt I will put one back on the roof, I'll leave it a slick top and have LED lights inside the car.

True Doug

The Cobra on both sides is to face forward. This is one of biggest mistakes made by owners when they repaint/repair a cobra. The order two of the same cobra emblems instead of a different one for each side as on original.

Doug and Russ.....you are actually incorrect on the Cobra emblems. The 94-up Cobras had both cobra snake emblems facing forward BUT....the '93 Cobra did in fact have the driver side emblem facing to the rear and the passenger emblem facing the front....There was only ONE emblem in '93. That changed for 94 and ever since there have been a Left and Right emblem for the later cars.

Oooo, that would be very cool! You culd even turn them on at shows too Not quite sure what the laws are around your parts though.
