As the proud owner of a '91 fox they are not nice. But I love the car. Wanted one back in the late 80s and early 90s but had to get trucks instead and be sensible. Now I can own one and do what I want with it. The 5.0 is great and I love the smaller size of the car, but modern it is not.

Yep. Even a nice one isn't very nice. But nothing can replace them. I have a terminator now and still miss driving my old notch.

Exactly. Nothing can replace them. The Fox to me is like the '65 to the old guys. It is what made me the Mustang lover I am today. All my friends had them in school and I wanted one so **** bad. I wouldnt change a thing. I can't imagine not owning one from now on.

i would love to get a fox, but the issue is dumping so much money into it to make it more daily driveable is a major turn off for me....

instead i will go with a 99-04 new edge

I have had 3 Fox's. I have worked on all 3 of them. I have worked on SN95's, New edges, and S197's Fox's are by far the easiest to work on.

As far as to say is a Fox Nice. It's all about personal preference. If don'e right they do look good. I happen to be into Drag cars. So Mine is a good looking Drag car

But I just bought a set of Street rims and got them yesterday. So I can have an eaiser time driving this car to car shows out of state.

I have seen some nice foxes at car shows but then again your talking about putting a lot of money into a car that is almost a classic. It will have the creaks and rattles and what not but when you consider the maintenance issues etcthe foxes are by far easier to work on than any of the other ones. Personally I am not a HUGE fan of foxes but if done right they can be made into nice cars

To the Orgianl Poster. What are you looking for out of the car?

If you looking for a car that can handel! A fox is not for you. They are good straight line cars. That's why you see a lot of them used for Drag race car's. They were used for road race, But you need a lot of suspension work.

The hatchbacks Can be a bit Noise because the Hatch just rattles. I had a Notchback or trunk model, and it was by far the Tightest and quietest Fox.

Fox's do make good Daily drivers. They are a great size car and are some what on the light size. So they can be quick and nimble Not like the newer cars which got a little bigger in size and gained wieght. Right now I am looking for my 4th Fox. As I want another Notch.

Fox's are nice. But of course it depends on what you want out of one.

I daily drove foxes for many years and loved it. A lot of those were in SVO's, which handle quite nicely I might add....

If you want a cheap project to work on the fox body is a great way to go. Problem is, they are all kind of old now, so finding a good one to start with is tough, but there are a lot out there.

I've always been a fan of 90-93. But all the fox seats sucked. Wasn't until the S-197 body that they started building better seats.
