Exterior Restoration Complete

So I just finished restoring my '91 GT... at least on the outside.

I am nearly finished with the whole car, but I still have a few minor things like map pockets on the inside.

Anyway I thought some of you guys out there restoring yours might want to see a picture.

Wow. Ah, it's hard to believe these cars are old to the point of needing restoration. I think they still look great after all these years.

Great job! I owned that style Stang- '88 T-Tops. I loved that car... I wish that the new one came with Ts.

Thanks guys

I figured you would appreciate it. I'll try to take some more pictures of the interior this weekend.

About the only thing left is the engine bay. I have to get that repainted and I'm going to take pictures of all of the stickers and factory marks so that I can replace them. I have to replace the hood insulator as well.

What really inspired me to do this was a car show I went to. This guy had an '87 that was completely stock and just beautiful. I wanted my car to look like that. I'm not quite at his level, but I'm getting there

That is beautiful man! That's what I want to get mine to

Yeah I bought mine new at the end of '91 and have driven it for the last 15 years and it's really part of the family now. I don't think I could get rid of it unless I really had to for some reason.

Nice color too BTW

I have some pictures of it at the body shop... they are from my phone so the quality isn't great.

They also look worse than the car looked before it went to the shop... just because it was being worked on... but it will give you an idea.

Everything looks bad during the resto process!! Here is my 89 Gt as it sat a my brothers shop before we began the task and the last is how it is today!!! I saved it from certain destruction. Sorry about the quality of the first two pics but it was in '99 before I Had a digital camera!!!
