Exaust Question

Hello all,

I am looking to buy a set of headers for my 85 GT. I am looking at BBK shortys. Is there any power to be gained with equal leanth shortys over unequal? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

I always thought that equal length was the best way for the exhaust to flow out...but it is hard to say, it all depends on the setup that you are running

I will be running a Ford Racing B-cam, ported E7 heads, planned Edelbrock performer intake, Edlebrock 1406 600cfm carb, BBK X-pipe, Flowmaster American Thunder catback, and 1.7 rockers on a stock bottom end for now. Parts will come as money comes.

i switched from bbk shorty's to mac equal length ceramic coated headers...I like the mac headers better, but thats just me. As with any set of headers, be prepared to at least loosen the motor mounts in order to free up room to install them. but from the sounds of what you plan on doing, you'll probably have the motor out of the car anyway..
