Well, after getting tired of burning out left and right and skidding around corners and swooping sideways... I decided i needed new tires.
i payed a visit to a friend that owns a tire-shop now for over 16 years, told him what car i had and had him suggest some tires... We went over a few brands: falken, goodyears, toyo etc... called up some other tire-shop owners... especially those that we knew owned mustangs, and continued to talk... eventually going way of course and ending up at a BBQ and drinking way to much beer... ne ways thats another story, so yes we talked and talked some more, flipped through catalogs, rubbed down every demo tire in the shop and in the end i decided to buy the same tires my friend had on his stang(92 gt)... Toyo Proxes-4 Ultra High Performance Radials(V).(Cost me almost $800 with the installs)
The treads are real nice and soft and heat up real quick, ofcourse this means they wont last that long but that dont bug me. Ne ways i cant burn out now unless i hold the break and gas at the same time... Punching the gas just makes me take off, it will not burn out no matter what i do(always a good thing). They got awesome handling and looks great too.
Just wanted to know if ne one else has had ne experience with toyos on their stang, cause im thinking of ordering another set of Toyo Proxes-T1-S, has ne one ever used these? they are apparently pretty new and are getting some good rep... ne ways get back to me

You bought yourself some very good rubber there. When I worked in a tire shop we put Toyos on many different vehicles from Escorts to Audi TTs and they were always top quality and our customers never complained about them. I know what you mean about not being able to burnout without standing on the brakes, my Falkens do the same thing; just hook up and go!
I see lots of fox body's with junk tires or the BF Goodrich Radial T/A tire, they have that classic muscle car look but they are only S-speed rated (up to 112mph) and don't hook very well. Well made, high performance rubber is the most important thing you can put on any car, whether its a toyota camry or a 600hp 03 cobra. Very good choice on tires, Jim.
