Long story short. Bought a car in fl 351/427 world product motor. Drove home to ky month or two later took to local shop have them just take a look at it and see if everything was ok had little blue smoke. Got it back drove it everything seemed ok . They said they adjusted the timing well they forgot to tighten it back. Few weeks later car would not start msd box serged or something melted a spark wire and exploded 4 plugs put new plugs and msd in . Found out the msd box put in the way they said not to . So I called Brangers out of Elizabeth town ky. Took it there two weeks ago . They called Friday to tell me what was going on but of course its the one day I left my phone at hotel so now I have to wait till Monday to find out . That was the short version lol

Ok here is the news . World products put together a crappy motor . It is the 351/427 block that is all of the good news. Now the bad . Crank needs to be balance cam bearings shot heads need to replaced. When they put the heads together they did not prep them . Um new cam and your finger nails get caught in the walls . I had a budget but it did not include new heads so I'm a little over budget . So in 6/8 weeks ill have my ride back .

Well if you go to there web site and look at customer reviews the guy I bought it from put the car on there . He was really happy with it . He had the car for 5 yrs with the motor in it but he only put pb 4k miles so I'm out of the warranty .

I also hear great things about there engines. Maybe had a FNG put it together . I'm not trying to bad mouth them. But it is was it is . I paid full price for the car plus get to rebuild the motor after driving it 3k miles just my luck. And to top it all off. I'm a diver the water is cold and today my zipper broke on my dry suit . My dive was 5hrs in 60 deg water . Just not a good day .

It seems like ill never get my car back. So two of the piston walls are shaped like a egg. Thy tried to hone them back but now they have to bore. But once again the third time I've heard this ill have it back in three weeks.

Now have to have the pistons custom made. I was told no off the self piston that big with keeping compression around 9:5:1 to 10:1 . So if I get car back in Aug they will have had my car 6 months . Just to pull build put back in .

I should just make this my personal Wtf now thread. So 3 weeks ago the shop said will have your pistons in . Just called to see how everything was going . Well maybe in 3 more weeks the pistons will be in maybe . I just want to go pick it up and take it somewhere else but like everyone else I work 5 days a week and they are not open on sat. So I just have to wait it out. One day I hope before 2014 I can say I have my car back

Very. But one day Im going to have a nice motor. I'm thinking of calling once a week from now on so they will get it done just so ill stop calling. But on the other hand they might just slap it together and ill have to start all over. So ill just give them another call in two weeks. So they can tell me 3 more weeks.
