I have a 90 LX Hatchback.

I'm going with the $399 5-Lug Conversion (Front & Back) from "Brothers Performance"

I'll also add the Hawk pads and 911 shoes.

After all is done, I'll be installing the stock "Take-Offs" from my 05 GT.

Anybody see any issues with this?

Any tips or tricks, or things to watch out for while I'm doing this?

TIA,
Tom

Thanks . . . I was told by Brothers Performance, that the "pattern" is the same as a 99-04 5 lug pattern. I did some checking and found that 99-04's use 5 x 4.5, but on the same site I ran the 05-06 and it says they are 5 x 4.5 too.

Can anybody confirm the lug pattern differences between 99-04's and 05-06's ?

Are they both 5 x 4.5's ?

Yes, they are both 5 x 4.5. However, just because the lug pattern is the same dont think that any wheels with that pattern will bolt up. Depending on what front spindles and rotors are used in the kit, you may not be able to mount certain wheels on there. For instance you can do a five lug swap using lincoln front rotors, but there are only a few of then newer five lug wheels that will mount up. However, if using the sn95 spindles and rotors, you have alot more choices as far as what will bolt up. Someone with more wheel education can explain this better than can I am sure, but I just wanted to let you know that before you spend the money on a kit and then can only choose from three or four different wheels.

Thanks Joker -

Brothers Performance told me that the conversion kit will allow me to use wheels from the 99-04 era.

So my new question should read: Will 05/06 wheels fit on the 99-04 cars?

Dont know about that, but I do know if you can use any 99-04 wheels, then you can use any 94 to 04 wheels.

The diffrence is in the back spacing. With the 05/06 rims, you may need to use wheel spacers. There have been a few threads on this in the 2005+ section. Check there and good luck.

I did a conversion on my 89GT with the complete set from a 95 and it worked fabulous, and all the ford wheels fit perfect!

What size spacers do you think I will need?

I've searched the 05 forum, but found nothing specific.
