Greetings, I just discovered this site and really enjoy it. I'm the original owner of a '86 GT , and even though I would never sell it I was wondering what it might be worth. It's a five speed, AC, Sunroof, [ not a T-Top ], Power Windows, 6,000 mile car. It's never been on a wet road and it's original in every sense except for fluids which are changed regularly. It still " smells " new when you open the doors. I know Ford sold millions of them and I never intended to " preserve " it, but it just worked out that way. Really great site!

Per Kelley Blue Book but this is just one opinion:

You might also try NADA

But both of these sites are just general information. You may find someone that will pay alot more for a vehicle with this low of mileage.

Retail Value $2,610

1986 Ford Mustang GT Hatchback 2D

Engine: V8 5.0 Liter
Trans: 5 Speed Manual
Drive: Rear Wheel Drive
Mileage: 6,000

Equipment
Air Conditioning
Power Steering
Power Windows
Tilt Wheel
AM/FM Stereo
Sliding Sun Roof
Alloy Wheels

Retail Value $2,610
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value represents the amount an auto dealer might ask for a specific vehicle. The Suggested Retail Value is a starting point for negotiation therefore the actual sale price will vary. Popularity, condition, warranty, color and local market conditions will be factors involved in determining a final price. This retail value is not a trade-in or private party value.
This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. The Suggested Retail Value also allows for advertising, sale commissions, insurance and other costs of doing business as a dealer. Most vehicles being offered at this price have passed an inspection and some may carry a warranty.

To the right person your car would be worth a lot more than $2600. I see later models with a lot more miles bringing $5000 to $6000. I'd say yours is worth that if not more.

The collectible value can't be measured by KBB or NADA, etc. If you find the right buyer, its worth what they'll pay.

Yeah... If I was still looking for a 5.0, I woulda payed upwards of 6,000 for a car in that condition.
