Well I added another Fox to my collection....I sold my '88 LX Hatch just over a year ago(413HP/496TQ to the wheels) and I have missed having a Fox but had enough other projects to distract me. Well, I got the chance to pick this one up...a 1989 5.0 LX Coupe...It is an Ex Georgia State Patrol car and will be restored as such....2 tone paint, antennas, etc .

The first thing to go will be the Saleen wing...I hate those on Coupes! I will put a stock hood back on as well. I am going to assemble it stock for now...this won't be easy since I have lots of stuff sitting around(rockers, NOS, etc) but I will resist temptation...I went overboard last time...not again, I have enough other high HP cars that I don't need to turn this into one as well.

Paul-

Very cool! What color where Georgia State Patrol cars? Black and tan?

Is she an auto? Did they install a different speedo? I've seen some Mustang patrol cars with a more accurate speedo.

You going to find some patrol cars wheels with caps? Or do you already have a set?

Looking forward to seeing your progress with her!

Nice Paul! Good luck with your new project. Oh, I happen to still have my stock hood stored away, so if you're interested, it's free if you want to come to NY and pick it up. And i'll throw in my other set of wheels that are also in my way.

They were Blue and Smoke....the blue is very close to the color it is now.

She is an auto and it has a certified Calibration 160mph speedo in it.

I already have a set

Technically yes....what I meant by that was a 5.0 Fox, the 7up is my wifes driver. My "drivers" have been the Powerstroke and Super Coupe

Yes, the Cobra emblems will most definitely go away....I don't like those either on anything but a Cobra.

On the parts...sorry but I'm in business to sell parts and restore cars...can't just go around giving them away

oh well, thought id ask. got any spare 5 lug conversion kits sitting around needing to be sold? i want to convert mine to 5 lug. since i am going to have a spare set of bullitts when i get the 18x9 black bullitts for my wifes car. that what i meant in the other post when i asked how wide a tire would fit on the back of a fox. we have 275/40/17 on the back of hers. dont know where that part went. oh well. email me some info if you have any with a price. just dont feel like finding everyhting on my own. and would rather help out a good guys business!

I'll update periodically....a '95 GT engine was dropped in but never got running so right now I just replaced the timing chain, swapped out timing cover and intake and I'll be swapping valve covers and putting all the accessories back on to get it back to running condition. Not much to see, just a bunch of engine work
