i caught it again today...i dunno about everybody else but youd think a stroker motor with a .550+ lift cam would do more than 370 horse and 360 torque. sounds a little weak to me for what it has.

It does sound a little weak to me also, but I think Joe and Chuck (and that other kid) always tune their stuff real conservative 'cause when Joe got his '96 GT supercharged I think it still made less than 300hp. That black fox-body was sweet I wish they would have popped the hood.

as for the number of R's built, my fox-body recognition guide says 107...

i wouldnt do that to an original R. but thats probably pretty close for HP for a NA 347. didnt see the episode. but nice head andcam package on a 302 is good for about 300 at the wheels so 370 for a 347 sounds right. hope to catch the episode

The black car was sweet, it had aluminum cobra wheels on it though, i'd of had chrome ones on it. The R was really cool though.

id figure the crank horsepower would be at least over 400 horse. if heads and cam can do 300 wheel horse..that should make it around 350 or so to the crank...the extra cubes arent helping all that much it seems.

Bingo!! Those were N/A numbers, which absolutley earth shattering.. Slap a SC on that motor, or just squeeze some nitrous, and 500RWHP, will happen faster than you can flush the toilet after eating some spicey pasta!

I agree with the others, that was some real weak numbers for a 347 stroker.

They didn't put the stroker in the R, they just had it and the black fox in the background for eye candy. The 347 they said is for a project with their sister show, extreme 4x4.

I guess 2000 was the end of Cobra R's...since they removed the Cobra name from the GT500...

Maybe a GT500R.
Tuned to 500hp..aluminum block...carbon fiber body panels to bring car weight down..
