the 93 cobra R wheels are alot alike the newer tri-bars except they are black with a chrome center, my question is are they the same exact wheel just painted ?

It appears that they were only on the 94-95's. Maybe they did keep using them for the next two years

Hmmm. I didn't see any on the timeline but I could be wrong. Maybe he added them aftermarket

Yes they are just painted tribars with a chrome center cap and a chrome lip.

5 lug, the cobra Rs used a similar set up to the 94 cobra as far as brakes.

They are the tribars painted, I got a set off a 95GT but I am not painting mine, with burgundy, it looks better the stock color.

Many of the parts were borrowed from the 94 Cobras.

the tri-bar wheels are fugly, but the painted ones are halfway decent

I dont, but its not my opinion that matters, its a nice car minus the wheels IMO, very nice shape.
