87 'vert...goodbye '82

..Well, it looks as though the 82 GT may be goin away...found what looks to be a great deal on an 87 convertable that looks too good to pass up, problem is I cant keep both, I LOVE the looks of the 4-eyes, but ...this is a vert, mechanically sound (tho the top is totally shot)..so I have some hard thinkin to do...anyone ever replaced the top know how difficult/expensive that would be ?

No reason you can't have both. I do.

The top can be done by yourself, but with my vert, I did everything to it except for 3 things... mount/balance tires, front end alignment, and new top. It cost me here just shy of $800 for a new top (Electron Top) with glass installed. Took them a full day.

Heheh... Just saw him Saturday and he works out here on the Arsenal.
Last year I asked if he would adopt me because of the McClaren. He brought it to the car show again and he razzed me about clocking up his mileage because he has to park his trailer out in the parking lot. He is getting dangerously close to have 900 miles on that 80.

Look at the bright side....you still have the '82...it's not eating anything and not going anywhere, you can always get back to it later
