I found this in the classifieds online. Theres one problem. I live in New Jersey and the car is in Michigan. Does anyone think Im waisting my time if I take a 800 mile drive for this car? The only thing that I dont like about it is the wheels. But they will be changed immediatly and the primer can stay until I get money for some burnt orange paint. Is it worth the trip?

This was the description: ps. Im pretty sure he has a b cam in it.

1987 Mustang LX. 306 HO,( 2.02 Intake Valves), Roller Rockers, 5 Speed (
Rebuilt ) B & M Short Throw Shifter, Posi Rear, Cam.
Headers, Flowmasters, H Pipe, 25K Motor Miles, Hatchback, All New Brakes
Front And Rear A/C, PS, PB, Gray Cloth Interior...........
SUPER FAST..........Paint Ready Primer $ 4200
Painted Your Color $ 5500

The owner put a lot of work into it i can tell, but an 800 mile trip and gas $2.30 a gallon is the only thing "wrong". I think it is worth it. You're not wasting your time or money at all, but the money for gas and all those things builds up and takes money away from all the work it might need.

No. I still have my 88GT. Right now I'm just trying to buy another mustang and put all my parts on it and sell the body. I called the guy today but hes bein really wierd about everything. Hes 70 years old and he got it in a trade. He dosent know the specs on the cam, dosent know the specs on the exhaust, dosent know anything about the tranny, the gears, NOTHING. I called him and all he said was that it was really fast and he hasnt talked to the guy he got it from in 4 years. Im getting really hesitant about taking this trip now. WHAT SHOULD I DO?!?!

I know. Its not exactally right around the corner. I really think that its a good deal but Im not sure if I want to take a 800 mile trip to find out. I think that Im going to take the trip anyway just because it will be a cool experience. Take a weekend off and just get away from everything you know. The guy is also really stubborn about everything. Every answer of his is... i dont know and if you dont like it call someone else. I just dont know...

But the hardest part about the whole situation is that he really dosent care if he sells it or not. So whatever I say hes just going to be like o well go home than and call someone else. Thats his famous line. Ive been searching high and low for another car thats as nice as this (from what Im seeing and hearing) for the price but just cant seen to find one. I guess Im just going to have to wait until I get lucky.
