5-Lug conversion for an '82 GT?

Could someone help a fella out? I'm getting ready to do some work on one of our '82 GT's and would like to do a 5 lug conversion but I don't know what I need to do about the spindles.

Can I use a '87 thru '93 spindle or do I need to use a newer spindle?

I will be looking to the salvage yards for some of the parts.

I will probably do a kit as far as rotors, axles and calipers and such.

Thanks,
Bobby

Bobby..had an 82 gt myself. Man i miss that car!!

I found this
http://www.mustangforums.com/m_968156/tm.htm

I'm not sure how accurate it is..but it might give yolu some insight.

SVoPaul might be a good source as he's worked on a ton of Foxes and I'm sure he's done this conversion before

A lot depends on what wheels you wish to run......you can do a conversion using 87-93 spindles or SN95....both options will give you larger brakes which those cars desperately need anyway.

It's a very easy swap though.....if you plan to stay with 4 lug wheels then go with the Fox spindles. If you plan to use any of the later model wheels then you will probably want to do an SN95 swap.
